PSL: Rondina sparks comeback as Petron avoids Cignal upset

MANILA, Philippines—Petron came back roaring back from two sets down to frustrate Cignal, 17-25, 21-25, 25-11, 25-17, 15-10, in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference Thursday at Filoil Flying V Center.

Cherry Rondina was a spark plugs off the bench, finishing with 23 points lifting the Blaze Spikers to an 8-1 record.

Remy Palma added 12 points while Bernadeth Pons went to work on both ends with 10 points and 22 excellent digs.

Down 0-2, the Blaze Spikers got their groove in the third and fourth sets then Rondina took over and finished things off in the decider.

Jovelyn Gonzaga and Mylene Paat had 17 points apiece while Rachel Anne Daquis added 12 for the HD Spikers, who dropped to 3-5.
