MANILA, Philippines—Meggie Ochoa led the Philippines to a solid seven-medal haul in the 4th Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship as she nabbed the gold in the female -45-kilogram division Friday (Philippine time) in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar.
Already a gold medal winner in the World Championship, Ochoa beat United Arab Emirates’ Alyafei Wadimah in the title round for the country’s lone top prize in the meet.

Ochoa’s teammate Jollirine Co settled for the silver medal in the women’s -48-kilogram division, losing to Kanjutha Phattaraboonsorn of Thailand in the final.
Annie Ramirez, who won a gold medal in the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in April, also copped a silver Mongolia as she fell short to Thailand’s Onanong Sangsirichok in the final women’s -57-kilogram division. Kimberly Custodio took the bronze.

Andrea Lao likewise settled for silver medalist after bowing to Thailand’s Orapa Senatham in the championship match of the women’s -63-kilogram division.
Carlo Peña was the Philippines’ lone male silver medalist after dropping the finals to UEA’s Zayed Alkatheeri in the -56-kilogram division.
Kaila Napolis nabbed the bronze medal in the women’s -52-kilogram division.
