Jeff Tamayo in Angeles City, Pampanga. The event was ruled by Joel Ablong (champion), John Paul Soria (second place) and Jeric Naval (third place).

Sta. Elena dominates WGAP Southwoods, wrests lead

Sta. Elena pulled off two victories and a third-place finish at Manila Southwoods that shoved the team past erstwhile joint leaders Tagaytay Highlands and Villamor halfway through the 2019 Champion WGAP Circuit recently. Behind Carmela Lee and Rio Co’s identical 43 Stableford points and Therese Dabao and Carina Ricamonte’s 42 and 39 points, respectively, Sta. Elena assembled a 167 to beat Alabang (165) and Fernando Air Base (162) for Class A honors. Sta. Elena also ruled Class C and finished third in Class B to jump from third to first in the overall tally with 14 points.
