NCAA: Marcelino twins lead Lyceum past San Sebastian
MANILA, Philippines–Lyceum’s platoon of assertive guards got the job done as the Pirates inflicted San Sebastian’s first defeat of the season with an 80-69 triumph in the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil Arena in San Juan.
Twins Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino again delivered the clutch baskets, but it was the stability that former Stags Renzo Navarro and Jayson David provided that helped the Pirates seal their third win in four games.
Navarro buried three three-pointers while David also contributed big in a dazzling fourth quarter run that stopped the Stags on their tracks after winning back-to-back games.
