Sizzling start at stake as F2 Logistics faces Foton

F2 Logistics and Foton are two of the hottest teams in the league, but there is so much more at stake for the Cargo Movers when they clash with the Tornadoes in the main feature of Thursday’s Philippine Superliga triple-header at Filoil Flying V Centre.

F2 Logistics owns an 8-0 record in the conference but dangerous Foton (7-3) has won six straight games since a 1-3 start to the tournament. One of those runs will come to an end in their clash and for the Cargo Movers, their grip of the top spot is also under threat.

Petron (8-1) has been lurking behind F2 since losing the first meeting between the two powerhouses in the tournament and battles lowly PLDT (3-6) at 4:15 p.m. with high hopes of notching win No. 9.

Winless Marinerang Pilipina opens the triple bill against Sta. Lucia at 2 p.m.

After acquiring Filipino-American Kalei Mau in the offseason, the Cargo Movers have been on fire in the tournament.

But they face a dangerous Tornadoes, who have improved since their first meeting when F2 worked its way to a 25-9, 23-25, 25-22, 25-16 victory.

“Foton is such a tall team. They are a tough team because of sisters Jaja (Santiago) and Dindin (Santiago-Manabat), who have experiences in the national team and in Japan club league,” F2 Logistics head coach Ramil de Jesus said.
