ONE: ‘The Bicolano’ eyes 4th straight win against Chinese foe
MANILA, Philippines—Ramon Gonzales didn’t start out blazing in ONE Championship, but managed to turn things around winning three straight bouts all of which were via stoppages.
The Bicolano, though, is still not satisfied one with what he’s accomplished and he’s ready to add a fourth straight win in this impressive streak.

“I’m so happy for his new opportunity, excited and humbled for every fight that is given to me,” said Gonzales. “My training has been good, Team Kyokushin is always there to help me every day.”
“We work on our striking and ground skills, everyday I’m at my best to prepare myself for this bout.”

This type of work rate and fast-paced style not only brought Gonzales wins but this has helped him rack up his confidence just in time for his fight against the Chinese martial artist.
“Winning consecutively really helps, but more than that it helps me as a person as it makes me strive for more and grateful for what I have,” said Gonzales who hails from Albay.
Gonzales, however, knows that he can’t take Hexi lightly.
Hexi holds a 1-3 record but that slate doesn’t put Gonzales on a relaxed mood one bit.
“Hexi Getu is a wrestler as well as a striker, he is also the teammate of one of my opponents before in ONE that’s why I am eager to work hard for this,” said Gonzales.
“There’s no secret to success. Perseverance, determination, and focus, those are the things that I need to have against Hexi Getu. There are a lot of people who believe in me, it’s all about believing in myself.”
