NBA legend Muggsy Bogues, Nuggets’ Monte Morris headline NBA 3x Philippines

MANILA, Philippines–NBA legend Muggsy Bogues and Denver Nuggets guard Monte Morris are headed to the Philippines to spice up the NBA 3X Philippines from August 3 to 4.

Bogues and Morris will highlight the two-day event featuring 3×3 tournaments for men’s (under-13, under-16, under-18, and open category) and women’s (under-18 and open category) at SM  Mall of Asia Music Hall and PICC Tent.

Aside from the games, interactive fan activities and authentic NBA entertainment have also been lined up with  2019 NBA Champion Toronto Raptors mascot, the Raptor, in attendance.

Bogues, who is returning to the country for the first time since 2013, is looking forward to seeing his Filipino fans again.

“Returning to the Philippines is a great opportunity to reconnect with the passionate fans,” said Bogues.  “As the game continues to evolve, I’m eager to see how this translates to the 3-on-3 competition.”

Morris, the 51st overall in the 2017 NBA Draft, is visiting the basketball-crazed country for the first time.

“I’m excited to experience the lively basketball culture of the Philippines and witness their unique style of play,” said Morris, who averaged 10.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game with the Nuggets this season. “NBA 3X will set an amazing atmosphere for fans to celebrate the game.”
