It’s all go for most scenic race in PH

LEGAZPI CITY—-It’s all systems go for the most scenic and challenging race in the country, the Mt. Mayon Triathlon (MMT).

Tin Paulino, organizer of MMT, said on Sunday (July 28) that organizers and the local government of Legazpi City were “practically done” with all the preparations for the race.

At least 500 participants were expected at the race, which involves 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run, with the constant view of Mayon Volcano as backdrop.

The race would be held on August 18, as part of this city’s Ibalong Festival.

Prizes for the elite category for both male and female would be P30,000 for first place; P20,000 for second place; and P15,000 for third place. Joanna Los Banos-Apuli/TSB
