He seems to like the idea.

McCullough’s tweet has sparked interest among fans, most of whom think he could be a good fit with the national basketball team.
The former Brooklyn Net has been on fire since he arrived in the Philippines, turning the Beermen’s PBA Commissioner’s Cup campaign around from the brink of an ouster into a win away from a finals berth.

McCullough is the third import this conference to have been included in calls for a new naturalized player from fans after Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee and TNT’s Terrence Jones, who has a Fil-American son.
In fact, the bill to naturalize Brownlee, who has captured the hearts of basketball fans since he suited up for the Gin Kings in 2016, has already been filed in Congress.
