Manny Pacquiao’s trunks sell for over P1 million in charity auction
MANILA, Philippines—Manny Pacquiao’s trunks worn during his showdown against Keith Thurman for the WBA welterweight title last July 20 earned big money for charity on Thursday.
The white trunks, worn by the Filipino boxing icon in his split decision win over the American boxer, sold for a whopping $24,750 (nearly P1.3 million) at an auction by Charity Buzz and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

The proceeds of the auction will go to non-profit organizations fighting against Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive and terminal disease that destroys nerve cells leading to disability.
Pacquiao, boxing’s only eight-division champion who is still relentless at 40, had dedicated his fight against Thurman to ALS awareness.
