Tougher road to repeat for Creamline as new teams spice up PVL Open conference

MANILA, Philippines—Creamline will be battling a bigger field in its title defense as the league grew from six clubs to nine for the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

Philippine Air Force returns to the fold led by Wendy Semana and May Ann Pantino while NCAA Season 94 champion San Beda banner Chef’s Classic Lady Red Spikers.

Creamline’s sister team the Choco Mucho Flying Titans also make the field interesting with players like Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag, Bea De Leon, and the legendary Manilla Santos-Ng.

The Open Conference kicks off with a double header on Sunday at Filoil Flying V Center with the Lady Jet Spikers taking on Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, and Michelle Gumabao’s Cool Smashers.

Paneng Mercado and Jonah Sabete lead PetroGazz in the 4 pm match against BanKo that has Nicole Tiamzon and Dzi Gervacio.
