PSL: PLDT boosts playoff bid, holds off Generika-Ayala

MANILA, Philippines– PLDT flexed its muscles going into the next round when it beat Generika-Ayala, 25-23, 14-25, 25-15, 25-18, Thursday night in the Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.

Czarina Carandang and Shola Alvarez led the Power Hitters, who hiked their record to 5-8 and dragged down the Lifesavers to 8-5.

Carandang scored 13 points, while Alvarez added eight for PLDT, which is hoping to get into the knockout quarterfinals on a winning note.
