Phoenix set to get boost from returning Eugene Phelps amid Calvin Abueva ban
MANILA, Philippines—Eugene Phelps is set to suit up for Phoenix anew in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
The Fuel Masters announced Phelps’ return on Twitter Friday.

The Fuel Masters, however, were booted out by the seventh-ranked Meralco Bolts in the quarterfinals despite owning a twice-to-beat advantage.
Phelps is coming off a stint with Mighty Sports Philippines in the Jones Cup in Taiwan where he helped the squad claim the championship late last month.
Phoenix hopes to get a much-needed jolt from Phelps after it failed to reach the playoffs in the 2019 Commissioner’s Cup where its campaign was put in turmoil by the in-game antics and alarming off court behavior Calvin Abueva, who is facing grave allegations of domestic abuse from his wife on top of an indefinite suspension by the PBA.
