PVL: BanKo opens campaign with big win over PetroGazz
MANILA, Philippines—BanKo needed a big jolt in the second set to blast Reinforced Conference champion PetroGazz, 25-20, 11-25, 25-21, 25-18, Sunday and send a message that they are a force to be reckoned in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
“Coming from the loss in second set we just told ourselves that we play happy and light-hearted, and fortunately, we clicked in the next two sets,” said BanKo Perlas captain Dzi Gervacio.

The Perlas Spikers, propped up by a veteran roster led by Tiamzon and Dzi Gervacio, recovered from a turbulent second set where they could only score 11 points.
