PVL: PacificTown-Army outplays BanKo Perlas for 1st win

MANILA, Philippines–Jem Gutierrez and Honey Royse Tubino stepped on it after a lethargic third set to carry PacificTown-Army past BanKo Perlas, 25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 25-20 late Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.

The Lady Troopers fell in complacency after taking the first two sets before gathering themselves to jumpstart their campaign on a winning note.

They dealt the Perlas Spikers their first defeat after winning in the inaugurals over the PetroGazz Angels.

Gutierrez wound up with 20 points, while Tubino chalked 17 for PacificTown. Nicole Tiamzon and Dzi Gervacio finished with 21 and 12 points, respectively BanKo Perlas.
