MANILA, Philippines–Petron flexed its championship muscles to sink Marinerang Pilipina Thursday, 25-18, 25-13, 25-11, and barge into the semifinals of the Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.
The Blaze Spikers had the luxury of fielding all their players in posting the easy win and claiming the twice-to-beat incentive going into the semis starting next week.
Petron dominated the match in all aspects, scoring four kill-blocks in the first two sets. But the Blaze Spikers finished even stronger, out-attacking the Lady Skippers, 19-8, in the second frame.
The Blaze Spikers will face in the semis the winner between Cignal and Generika-Ayala which will be played Saturday.
