MANILA, Philippines–San Beda didn’t waste time in putting University of Perpetual Help away to keep its unbeaten streak going with a clinical 102-56 win on Friday in the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil Arena in San Juan.
Donald Tankoua and AC Soberano had 15 points each for the defending Red Lions, who used an energetic run in the opening period that immediately took the fight out of the Altas.
The Lions, who chalked up their sixth straight victory, established a 20-point advantage at the end of the first half through the additional firepower of Evan Nelle and Clint Doliguez and were never threatened the rest of the way.
Edgar Charcos and Tonton Peralta had 13 points each for the Altas, who lost for the fifth time in seven games this season.
