Arellano overpowers TIP in PVL Collegiate Conference
MANILA, Philippines—Arellano University flexed its might and punished Technological Institute of the Philippines, 25-12, 25-7, 25-13, in the premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference Sunday at Filoil Flying V Center.
Necole Ebuen and Regine Arrocha had 10 points apiece for the Lady Chiefs, who had little to no problem against the Lady Engineers.
Arellano had a massive 39-14 advantage in spikes and also enjoyed 26 free points due to TIP’s errors.
Lady Chiefs head coach Obet Javier said that even though his team cruised in the first set, he didn’t want any let up from his players the whole match.
“Let’s just say that we had a great first set but I always reminded my players to play better so that their confidence wouldn’t go down,” said Javier.
Kehm Consencino put up five points for TIP.
