MANILA, Philippines—University of Perpetual Help shrugged off a poor third set to trip San Sebastian, 25-14, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17, in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference Sunday at Filoil Flying V Center.
Charina Scott led all scorers with 15 points for the Lady Altas while Jhona Rosal added 11 points.
The Lady Stags flaunted a more potent offense with 43 spikes against Perpetual’s 40 but they shot themselves in the foot with 46 errors.
“We kind of relaxed in the third set and we became complacent because the players thought they would win because I saw them going easy in some moments in the game,” said Lady Altas head coach Macky Cariño in Filipino.
“Fortunately, by the fourth set we were able to change our pace in the fourth set.”
Bianca Ordona had 14 points to lead San Sebastian while Reyann Caneta had 11.
