MANILA, Philippines—ONE heavyweight world champion Brandon Vera and former ONE bantamweight king Kevin Belingon fly the Philippine flag in the historic ONE: Century card set on 13 October at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.

Vera will be the headliner of the evening show as he battles two-division world champion Aung La N Sang for the Burmese hero’s ONE light heavyweight crown.

Belingon, on the other hand, faces a familiar foe in Bibiano Fernandes for the ONE bantamweight belt in the co-main event of the night.

“[I’m] very excited. ONE Championship has announced this 100th event and plans on making this the biggest in the history of martial arts,” Vera said on social media.

“Two full cards on the same day!! Oh yeah, we’re the main event,” he wrote.

As if the evening show is not stacked enough, ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon defends his title against Walter Goncalves while Giorgio Petrosyan battles Samy Sana for all the marbles in the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Championship Final.

Filipino Honorio “The Rock” Banario rounds out the local athletes in the evening as he competes against Japanese lightweight legend Shinya Aoki.

Chatri Sityodtong, ONE Chairman and CEO, announced the two cards for the historic day Sunday night, a few days after disclosing that ONE will be holding two shows for CENTURY.

“The biggest martial arts extravaganza in history will feature two full-scale World Championship events on the same day,” Sityodtong said.

“In addition to multiple World Championship title fights and multiple World Grand Prix Championship title fights, ONE: CENTURY will showcase 28 World Champions across various martial arts. “

The Home Of Martial Arts will be catering to its growing Western audience as they hold a morning show, which airs live on primetime in the US.

In what is expected to be an explosive rematch, Angela Lee puts her atomweight title on the line against ONE strawweight world champion Xiong Jing Nan in the main event of the morning show.

In the co-main event, Danny Kingad looks to introduce himself to the world when he battles 12-time flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson in the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Championship Final.

The ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Championship Final between Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez and Saygid “Dagi” Guseyn Arslanaliev also bolsters the morning show, while Team Lakay’s Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang makes his main roster debut against Senzo Ikeda.
