PVL: Myla Pablo leads as Motolite breezes past Air Force
MANILA, Philippines—Motolite took the speedy route and took care of listless Philippine Air Force, 25-14, 25-18, 25-23, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Center.
The win gave Motolite a 3-1 slate and sent the Lady Jet Spikers to their fourth loss in as many games.
Article continues after this advertisementAir Force took an early 15-9 lead in the third but Motolite slowly cut it and forced a 23-all stalemate.
Diana Carlos and Isa Molde then exchanged hits and finished things off for Motolite.
“The first and second sets were convincing but the third set we started slow. Because of the way we started, we noticed as we continued playing we struggled,” said Motolite head coach Godfrey Okumu.
Article continues after this advertisement“We were using a lot of energy in the third set and some of these things in the first two sets we did effortlessly.”
Myla Pablo led all scorers with 15 points for Motolite while Carlos and Molde had 14 and 10 points, respectively.
Dell Palomata had 14 points to lead the Lady Jet Spikers.
