Motolite grounds Air Force for third straight win
Motolite extended its own winning streak, while PetroGazz snapped that of another Wednesday night in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre.
Both teams crushed their respective foes in similar three-set fashions, bolstering their campaign for the next round.

Then PetroGazz finally adjusted to life without imports as it shot down erstwhile unbeaten PacificTown-Army, 25-15, 25-15, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Kat Bersola banged in 15 points as BanKo Perlas ripped Choco Mucho, 25-18, 25-20, 25-23.
Article continues after this advertisementThe win pushed the Perlas Spikers to solo second spot at 4-2, while the Flying Titans absorbed their second defeat in four games.
The Angels dominated the Lady Troopers through the efforts of Jeanette Panaga and Jovielyn Prado, who scored 12 points each. Paneng Mercado added nine points.
“Maybe we are getting used to playing without imports and our teamwork is now working,” Prado said in Filipino. “Maybe now we are playing better because we are playing relaxed unlike in our previous games.”
She was referring to the topsy-turvy start for the Angels, who ruled the recent Reinforced Conference where they enjoyed the company of A-list imports Wilma Salas and Janisa Johnson.
Now at 2-2, PetroGazz handed PacificTown-Army its first loss in three matches.
Myla Pablo and Tots Carlos carried the fight for the Power Builders, scoring 15 and 14 points, respectively. Isa Molde chipped in 10 for Motolite.
