MANILA, Philippines—PacificTown-Army finally snapped a three-game losing streak after outgunning Chef’s Classics, 25-18, 25-18, 25-13, Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Center.

It only took the Lady Troopers one decisive assault late in the second set to turn what was initially a tight match to a lopsided affair.

They upped their record to 3-3, while extending the Red Spikers’ losing stretch for a 0-6 mark.

Honey Royse Tubino ignited a 6-0 run to break a 15-all deadlock in the second frame, putting PacificTown-Army in the driver’s seat. The Lady Troopers out-attacked the Red Spikers, 15-8, in that set.

Frustrated, Chef’s Classics’ campaign went down the drain as PacificTown-Army imposed its edge in experience and manpower against the younger Red Spikers.
