NCAA: Lyceum handily beats Perpetual for solo No. 2
MANILA, Philippines–Mike Nzeusseu and JC Marcelino dropped 21 points each as the Lyceum Pirates demolished the University of Perpetual Help Altas, 89-74, to claim solo second in the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball tournament.
Slowly building momentum for the playoffs, the Pirates moved up with an 8-3 record as they brace themselves for possible titular clash with the defending champion San Beda Red Lions for the third season in a row.
The Altas, meanwhile, continued to plunge deep into the standings with a 3-7 slate in the company of the Jose Rizal Heavy Bombers.
