NCAA: JRU fends off EAC
MANILA, Philippines—Jose Rizal University held off Emilio Aguinaldo College, 69-63, for its fourth win in the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball tournament Friday at Filoil Flying V Center.
The Heavy Bombers improved to a 4-7 record to overtake idle University of Perpetual Help (3-7) for the seventh spot while the Generals remained at a lowly 1-10 slate.

Agem Miranda led the Heavy Bombers with 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting while Marq Dionisio had a 13-point, 16-rebound double-double.

Ry Dela Rosa also finished with double figures for JRU with 11 points.
The Heavy Bombers relied mostly on their interior presence, outscoring EAC 44-18 in the paint while also outrebounding the Generals 46-31.
JP Maguliano had 16 points for EAC.
