Motolite rallies past Choco Mucho in 5 sets

MANILA, Philippines—Motolite fought off a two-sets-to-none deficit to outlast Choco Mucho, 25-27, 15-25, 25-18, 25-17, 18-16, Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Center.

Without injured top gun Myla Pablo, the Motolite spikers were hard-starting and needed sometime to get into the match to score its sixth win in eight matches.


Tots Carlos and Isa Model exploded with 23 points each while libero Toni Ponce ruled the floor with 16 excellent dogs and nine excellent receives.

The Flying Titans, missing key player Maddie Madayag who joined to the national team, let their guards down after taking the first two sets and lost its grip in the thrilling back-and-fifth of the fifth set.
