Asian bike race slated

Over 300 elite international riders from 15 Asian nations will compete in the Grand Fondo NY Asian Championships (GFNY) at Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao on Sunday.

Racers can drop by the mechanical service booths stationed at the mall from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Saturday to wrap up their preparations before tackling their respective courses. They can also pick up their race packets at Festival Walk Mall starting at 1 p.m.

The race starts at 6:30 a.m.

Aside from Filipino bets, competitors in the field will come from Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Israel, USA, Germany, Colombia, and Brazil.

The overall male and female winners here will earn a ticket to the Campagnolo GFNY World Championship 2020 to be hosted in New York City in May next year.
