MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines fell to its second straight loss after a 104-57 clobbering from China in the group stage of the Fiba Women’s Asia Cup Wednesday at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, India.

Gilas Pilipinas stayed winless at 0-2, tying New Zealand in the bottom half of Group B. China and Australia, meanwhile, lead with 2-0 records.

Afril Bernardino was the lone player from the Philippines to finish in double digits with 10 points to go along three rebounds, two steals, and one block.

China opened up with a 21-11 first quarter lead and built on that foundation, never allowing the Philippines to muster any form of comeback.

Mingling Chen had 21 points to lead China’s offense while Zixuan Guo added 19 points and six boards.

The Philippines can still qualify for the next round if they beat New Zealand on Thursday.
