MANILA, Philippines–BanKo-Perlas struck down Motolite, 25-21, 25-19, 25-21, Saturday to break a two-game losing skid in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.
The win also solidified the Perlas Spikers’ stake at the Final Four as they upped their mark to 7-5 while snapping a two-game win run by the Motolite Spikers, who fell to 7-4.
Dzi Gervacio topscored with 20 points for BanKo Perlas which needed to stave off a late-charge by Motolite in the third set.
Isa Molde and Tots Carlos tried to carry the cudgels for the Motolite Spikers scoring four points between them as tried to rally from 20-16 to 22-20.
But a succession of unforced errors ended the fight for Motolite.
