PBA Player of the Week: Kiefer Ravena makes up for lost time
MANILA, Philippines—Kiefer Ravena made sure the rest of the league would know about his return.
Ravena is making up for lost time after being out for 18 months due to a Fiba-imposed suspension.
Article continues after this advertisementIn just his third game back in the PBA, the NLEX guard has helped his team to a 3-0 record in the 2019 Governors’ Cup and his big contributions has earned him the PBA Press Corps Player of the Week honors.
The 25-year-old Ravena was at his best this past week, displaying his all-around brilliance in the Road Warriors’ two victories over the Meralco Bolts and Blackwater Elite.
He fired a season-high 25 points that went with seven rebounds and seven assists in a 115-109 win over the Elite on Sunday in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Article continues after this advertisementThat performance was a followup to his 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a 105-99 triumph over the Bolts last Wednesday.
Behind Ravena and reinforcement Olu Ashaolu, NLEX has emerged as the surprise leader early in the conference.
