MANILA, Philippines—Kiefer Ravena made sure the rest of the league would know about his return.
Ravena is making up for lost time after being out for 18 months due to a Fiba-imposed suspension.
In just his third game back in the PBA, the NLEX guard has helped his team to a 3-0 record in the 2019 Governors’ Cup and his big contributions has earned him the PBA Press Corps Player of the Week honors.
The 25-year-old Ravena was at his best this past week, displaying his all-around brilliance in the Road Warriors’ two victories over the Meralco Bolts and Blackwater Elite.
He fired a season-high 25 points that went with seven rebounds and seven assists in a 115-109 win over the Elite on Sunday in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
That performance was a followup to his 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a 105-99 triumph over the Bolts last Wednesday.
Behind Ravena and reinforcement Olu Ashaolu, NLEX has emerged as the surprise leader early in the conference.
