MANILA, Philippines—Eco Oil-De La Salle ended its campaign on a positive note after holding off Easytrip, 14-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-17, in the Spikers’ Turf Open Conference Thursday at Paco Arena.

JM Ronquillo led the Green Spikers with 12 points while John Delos Reyes and Billie Anima both had 10 points to add to their offense.

The Green Spikers didn’t qualify for the next round and finished with a 3-2 record in Group B.

“Most of our players are new and we have five graduating players then the rest are either first year or second years so we’re really aiming to get experience,” said Eco Oil-De La Salle head coach Arnold Laniog in Filipino.

Mardy Galang and Jerico Jose had 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Easytrip, which ended its group stage campaign with a 2-3 card.

Earlier in the day, San Sebastian sunk Philippine Coast Guard, 25-19, 25-18, 16-25, 25-22, in Group C.

Reynald Honra had 15 points to lead the Golden Stags who won their only game in the tournament for a 1-4 record in Group C.

Robbie Pamitan added 13 points for San Sebastian while Julius Lana pitched in nine points.

Eddiemar Kasim led Coast Guard with 19 points while Jemmy Entig added 12 points as the Dolphins finished with the same record as San Sebastian’s.

In the final game of the triple-header, Mapua held off Arellano University in four sets, 25-13, 25-19, 22-25, 25-15.

Benedict San Andres had 19 points to lead the Cardinals to a 2-3 record in Group D.

Alfredo Pagulong and Reje Dizon had 11 and 10 points, respectively, to aid San Andres’ efforts.

Jesrael Liberato led the Chiefs with 13 points.
