Lascuña holds off Jahns, rules Apo leg for 2nd in a row

Antonio Lascuña closed out with a three-under-par 69 on Saturday to win the ICTSI Apo Golf Invitational by three shots over a resilient Keanu Jahns at the tree-lined, hazard-laden layout in Davao.

It was the second win in as many weeks for Lascuña, who triumphed last Sunday in the Nan Pao Open in Taiwan that snapped a long title spell.

Counting earlier rounds of 65, 68 and 73, Lascuña tallied a 72-hole 275 total over one of the toughest courses in the country.

Jahns returned a 65, with obscure Nilo Salahog shooting a 71 for third, another four strokes behind.

“I was actually in doubt whether I could win again on the PGT,” Lascuña said in Filipino.
