Antonio Lascuña seeks a third win in as many weeks starting Wednesday when the Philippine Golf Tour holds the ICTSO South Pacific Classic for the first time to cap its milestone 10th season in Davao.
The winner in Taiwan two Sundays ago and at Apo last week, Lascuña comes into the P3-million event as the player to beat over the relatively flat course in Catalunan Pequeño.
South Pacific is a young, wide-open course that will surely benefit the long hitters, although precision is a must with its small greens.
“What makes this event interesting is that no one holds an advantage—familiarity wise,” Lascuña said.
Beefing up the cast are last week’s runner-up Keanu Jahns, reigning Philippine Open champion Clyde Mondilla and Pueblo de Oro titlist Reymon Jaraula.
