MANILA, Philippines—Jonathan Tiu will eye his third straight triumph in the Quick 8 class and firm up his grip on the solo lead in the second leg of the 2012 Philippine Drag Racing Championships Northern Series at the Clark International Speedway on Saturday.
Tiu will draw inspiration from friend and former Pro Class champion Anthony Go who succumbed to heart attack at 38 years old.
“The whole drag racing community mourns the sudden demise of Anthony Go,” said drag racing director Fil Gulfin.
Defending champion Martin Manalo will seek a share of the leadership as he guns for a second straight triumph in the M&H Pro class following his triumph in Batangas last month.
Arvin Jay Millet aims to make it three in a row in the Expert class.
