PSL: Cignal secures semis berth after turning back PLDT Home
MANILA, Philippines–Cignal broke into the semifinals with a methodical victory over PLDT Home Fibr, 25-22, 25-19, 25-20, Thursday in the Philippine Superliga Invitationals at Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan.
National team mainstay Mylene Paat scored 19 as the HD Spikers posted their fourth win in as many games ensuring their spot in the next round.
Rachel Anne Daquis and Janine Navarro chipped in 13 points each for the HD Spikers who allowed the Home Fibr Hitters to take control of the sets before making a move midway through it.
“I think we need to be more consistent and not let-up specially in the next round,” said Paat in Filipino.
PLDT absorbed its third defeat in four matches.
