Terrence Romeo fined for headbutt in PBA Dubai game

MANILA, Philippines—San Miguel’s Terrence Romeo was fined P20,000 after his headbutt on NLEX’s Philip Paniamogan during their PBA Governors’ Cup match up at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

The Beermen took the 98-94 victory but were nearly in danger of faltering in the final frame after Romeo got ejected with 10:23 to play.

Romeo was trying to get away from Paniamogan’s defense on an inbounds play but instead of getting space got frustrated with the Road Warrior’s peskiness.

NLEX and the Beermen went basket for basket in the final frame with the Road Warriors even taking an 89-85 lead during Romeo’s absence.

Clutch baskets from Dez Wells and free throws from Chris Ross eventually iced the game for the Beermen in the final minute.
