“It’s something we can’t forget easily,” she said, referring to the HD Spikers dethroning them in the All-Filipino semifinals two months ago.
Article continues after this advertisementBut the defending champions almost blew away the chance to get back at Cignal when it wasted eight match points in the fourth set before taking the fifth in a come-from-behind fashion to rise to 5-0. Cignal dropped to 5-1.
Later, F2 Logistics turned back Generika-Ayala, 22-25, 17-25, 25-16, 25-21, 15-10 for its fourth win in five games. —MARC ANTHONY REYES
