MANILA, Philippines—Lito Adiwang announced his arrival at ONE Championship’s main roster with a bang.
The rising Team Lakay fighter known as “Thunder Kid” struck like lightning in his debut, needing only one round to stop Japanese champion Senzo Ikeda in ONE: Century Sunday at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.
The 25-year-old Adiwang scored his sixth straight win to improve his MMA record to 11-2.
Adiwang got the Filipinos’ campaign going with a resounding victory but Danny Kingad couldn’t follow it up.
Kingad dropped a unanimous decision at the hands of the legendary Demetrious Johnson in the Flyweight World Grand Prix Championship Final.
