Banko Perlas assured itself of a semifinals seat after turning back PacificTown-Army, even as Creamline kept its record unblemished Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at University of St. La Salle Gym in Bacolod City.
Creamline, even with Alyssa Valdez sitting it out, scored win No. 13 after repeating over PetroGazz, 25-21, 26-25, 19-25, 25-18, later in the evening to solidify its hold on top spot.
Already in the semis since last week, the Cool Smashers dropped only their third set this conference but came out even stronger in the fourth to deal the Angels’ their fourth loss in 14 games.
PetroGazz still has three chances to score the all-important 10th victory and make the next round.
