Defending Champion Jonathan Tiu and Anthony Go gear up for a crucial clash for the crown tomorrow in the championship round of the 2010 Magnolia Purewater National Drag Racing Championship Series at Clark International Speedway.
The competition also serves as the opening round of the 2010 Northern Series Philippine Drag Racing Championships sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines.
Tiu and Go, teammates at JCT-Blanche Racing Team, share the lead with 60 points.
Tiu is gunning for an unprecedented seventh straight drag racing plum despite still smarting from a bizarre crash in the previous leg.
Go, on the other hand, is looking forward to snapping Tiu’s long reign and winning his first championship.
“[Go] has a better car and engine,” said Tiu.
