Dez Wells scored 39 points—18 coming in the final frame—to put the Triple Crown seekers away from the Dyip’s striking range and rebound from a narrow loss to Ginebra.
June Mar Fajardo had 19 points, while four more tossed in twin digit scores, including newly-acquired Mo Tautuaa.
San Miguel bolstered its playoff bid at 5-1.
Khapri Alston had 38 while CJ Perez and Juami Tiongson scored 18 each for Columbian, which would’ve swept its season series with San Miguel.
The Dyip slid to 3-4, good for a 6th spot in the draw.
San Miguel takes on NorthPort in a much-anticipated clash featuring Tautuaa and Christian Standhardinger this Wednesday at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay.
Columbian, meanwhile, hopes to bounce back against Phoenix on Friday at the Big Dome.
