MANILA, Philippines—Edward Kelly looks to get back on the winning track in ONE Championship but his road to a win won’t be as easy as he faces China’s Tang Kai in the Age of Dragons card on Nov. 16 at Cadillac Arena in Beijing.
Filipino bet Ramon Gonzales, meanwhile, looks to extend his winning streak in the flyweight division as he takes on Hexi Getu in the same fight card.
Kelly (12-7), who fights for the famed Team Lakay stable, has lost two of his last three bouts and a win against Tang could once again jumpstart a title bid for the 155-lb championship.
Tang (8-2), however, is on a four-fight winning streak, all ending in stoppages.
Gonzales (4-2), who’s made a name as one of the more technically sound fighters in the promotion, is looking for a fourth straight win with his three past victories all ending in submissions.
Hexi, though, is determined to get his second straight win and improve on his humble 1-3 card.
ONE flyweight kickboxing World champion Ilias Ennahachi of the Netherlands will defend his title against China’s Wang Wenfeng in the main event.
