The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is pushing for national athletes to get the full privileges provided for by the Expanded Athletes and Coaches Incentives Act.
PSC Chair William “Butch” Ramirez pointed out that national athletes and coaches are still waiting to enjoy all the perks of Section 4, Republic Act No. 10699, including a 20-percent discount in all commercial establishments across the country.
“We have already coordinated with concerned agencies like the Bureau of Internal Revenue,” said Ramirez, who said part of the problem of the law’s full implementation is the fast-changing composition of national rosters—which the PSC hopes to address.
