Pactolerin rules fund-raiser at Villamor

Many-time Philippine Masters champion Robert Pactolerin cashed in on his local knowledge of the Villamor Golf Club layout, shooting a three-under-par 69 to turn back reigning National pro-am winner Rey Pagunsan by three and rule the “Play with the Masters” golf tournament recently. Tony Arevalo, Leonardo Sanchez and former Philippine Open winner Mario Manubay fired 73s, while Domeng Umadhay had a 76. The 18-hole tournament, which featured some of the country’s leading seniors and graced by a number of amateurs and golfing ladies from various sectors, was also staged to raise funds for the training and upgrading of the senior pros’ teaching skills. Domeng Umadhay fired a 76 and Ernie Rellon and Luis Paraiso scored identical 79s.
