Talk ‘N Text escapes Barako, 113-106, in 37th PBA Commissioner’s Cup

MANILA, Philippines — Ryan Reyes delivered the clutch in overtime to help Talk ‘N Text escape Barako Bull, 113-106, Friday night in the 37th PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

Reyes nailed back-to-back triples in the final minute with the last one extending the Tropang Texters gap to six, 112-106, with 32 seconds left.

Reyes finished with only nine points but nonetheless his cold-blooded plays helped TNT seize its fourth win in five tries.

Both baskets by Reyes were wide open looks at the basket and came from big man Ranidel de Ocampo.

Willie Miller forged extra session with a deep trey despite a good contest by import Donnell Harvey with 2.9 seconds remaining in regulation.

Reigning MVP Jimmy Alapag had a team-high 27 points while Harvey added 26 points for Talk ‘N Text, which bucked a 42-point explosion by the Energy’s import Rodney White.
