MANILA, Philippines—Phil Younghusband scored in the 10th minute to give the Philippines a 1-0 advantage over former champion India in the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup in Nepal Sunday.
Younghusband found the bottom corner of the net for the early goal off Jasio Sabio’s throw-in.
The Azkals could not afford to drop any more points in the group stages after an opening-day 0-2 loss to North Korea last Friday.
