SEA Games: PH teams go 2-0 in men’s beach volleyball

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine men’s teams are off to roaring start after a couple of dominant wins over Timor-Leste in the beach volleyball event of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games Friday at Subic Tennis Court.

The pairing of Edmar Bonono and Jude Garcia brushed off Timor-Leste S1, 21-16, 21-13, in the opening match of the tournament.

Not to be outdone, Jaron Requinton and James Buytrago outgunned Timor-Leste S2 21-7, 21-16.

The women’s matches are scheduled for 5:30 and 6:20 later with the partnership of Cherry Rondina and Bernadeth Pons and the pairing of Dzi Gervacio and Dij Rodriguez taking on Indonesian teams .
