SUBIC BAY FREEPORT, Philippines — Due to bad weather, the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games organizers have postponed the windsurfing competition slated at the Subic Bay Yacht Club here.
Ramon Agregado, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) senior deputy administrator for support services, said the event would be held once the weather had cleared up.
Agregado, who also chairs the SEA Games committee of the SBMA, said the windsurfing event was originally set to begin on Monday, Dec. 2.
In a weather bulletin on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Tisoy is forecast to make landfall in Bicol Region between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
The state weather bureau said Tisoy might bring strong winds and occasional to frequent heavy rains.
