The medals keep coming for Team Philippines in the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Sunday.
Estie Gay Liwanen padded on to the country’s lead in the gold medal standings with after bagging the top prize in the women’s 63kg event in Kurash held at Laus Group Event Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Liwanen wasn’t the only Filipino athlete in the sport to shine.
Jenilou Mosqueda also won the silver medal in the women’s 57kg class.
As of 9:30pm, the Philippines is on top of the medal tally with 21 golds, 11 silvers and seven bronzes.
Vietnam is in distant second with six golds, 13 silvers and seven bronzes.
